Aussie Pubs in London | London Directory
Redback Tavern
- The Redback has been a hot spot on the London expat scene since opening its doors in '93. It promotes itself as being the best Australasian live music venue in London. Inside there's three bars, a huge split level dance floor and outside there's a massive beer garden which plays host to a popular barbie on Sundays.
The Church
- The Church has been a London-based antipodean institution, since Barry Mackenzie was in britches. After more incarnations than Madonna, the Church now resides at the Clapham Grand in Clapham Junction and welcomes folk of all denominations to sup from its cup each and every Sunday. It's hardcore, it may disgust or delight, but it's a must-see - at least once - for anyone looking for a true slice of London Australiana.
Walkabout
- Ever expanding chain of Australian theme pubs - hardy grub (including snacks from back home), a lively atmosphere and plenty of home-grown sport on the box. A great place to meet up with other expats (including the odd Kiwi and Saffa) and share a pint or two of the cold stuff.
