Perhaps the most romantic hotel in the world: Il Sogno di Giulietta is located right opposite Juliet Capulet’s balcony in the fair city of Verona. The hotel itself is right out of a Shakespearean play, with original stonework, wooden beams and lavish period furniture. The house across from the hotel was reportedly the Capulet’s house and every year, thousands of romantics visit the courtyard, pinning love letters on the walls and touching the bronze statue of Juliet which is found there in the hope that it will bring them luck in love. The courtyard is closed to tourists during the evening, at which time it is only privileged guests of the hotel that have access to this romantic spot.
