The Terme Manzi Hotel & Spa is a charming complex with a history of 150 years, located on the volcanic island of Ischia. The hotel was built in 1863 on the site of the Gurgitello springs, famed for their healing volcanic minerals. Since then, people have flocked from all over the world to stay at this majestic hotel and use the dazzling spa facilities. The hotels itself is palatial, vast and brilliant white, with splashes of colour from the surrounding flowering plants and trees. Inside the decoration features mosaic work, 18th century sculpture and marble fountains, combined with fine Italian architecture, as redesigned in the 1960s by Italian film producer Angelo Rizzoli.
